### "It feels like Docusign has got too big and actually forgotten what it's for"
What do you like best about Docusign?Docusign is THE document management system. Everyone knows and trusts it . The tools it has are great. It was relatively easy to set up and does exactly what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?I doubt anyone at Docusign has ever had to use it on a daily basis. Everything from logging on to the App are painful and hard. It's not something you're going to look forward to.
So many things you can't do on the App, or if you can it's so unfathomable I've not been able to fathom it.
I get an email saying someone has completed a form... but who? that's a secret apparently. I have to open the PDF to find out. Hang on - I've got 50 here, just talk among yourselves will. you while I open 50 PDF.

Nearly there... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?Saves me writing a bit of code to take a postscript template, personalise it and email it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

### "One solution for your digital Signature"
What do you like best about Docusign? It is simple to use and is highly user friendly. Even if you are not registered user and someone adds them as signer using their email address they will get the link to validate the document and provide signature along with required fields that is setup by initiator and it cost less then other users.

I use it on a daily basis to get contracts signed by both my company and vendor. We have also integrated the DocuSign with ARIBA so that once the document is signed a repository will create in ARIBA . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The reporting feature can be enhanced and more fields can be added like filter by signatory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?The main problem which has been address by toll is ease of e-signature and if the signer is not available then ease of re-assignment to new signatory. Even it let add anyone using their email address as signatory even if they don't have access to docusign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

### "Docusign's Autorenew Policy is Predatory and their Colllections team is Uncooperative"
What do you like best about Docusign? The interface is easy for end-users to sign documents Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?I have been a systems admin for over 4 years - I've learned how to administrate programs such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365, various CRMS and telephony systems. I can confidently say the admin console is cumbersome and overly complicated. I tried cancelling our account but was unable to, which led our account to autorenew. When I explained the situation to their collections team, they were inflexible and not considerate at all for our experience. I repeatedly asked to resolve the issue amicably, explain the situation, speak to a manager, have our case escalated it, and received no support. It took Docusign on average 3-4 weeks to respond to our emails. This issue started in August 2024, it is now March 2025 and it is still not resolved. We are a small mom and pop operation. I am a team of one (1) person, and I will likely never use Docusign again because this experience has been a huge drain on our limited resources and unsatisfactory.

TLDR: their autorenew policy on contracts is predatory and their collections team is uncooperative. I would expect better customer service from a company that has a large monopoly on the market and presumably enough money to dedicate resources to these kinds of issues. ### "Review for DocuSign"
What do you like best about Docusign?Docusign is integrated with Salesforce and it is easy for us for send documents for signature process and also capture the signatures in the documents and maintain everything based on the workflow we create in the same record for tracking purposes. We also have track of how many people the signature request has been sent to and also have a log of parties that signed the document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The one issue that we are facing in the current workflow is indicate docusign if the party has sent the signed documents in an email, it just keeps sending remainders to the parties. This limitation has been a blocker for us and had to implement additional code on our end to stop those emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?Using docusign in our business based on the workflow we created has helped us in triggering the signature process and capturing the signed documents to the targetted record in salesforce. We have docusign integrated with salesforce, outlook and dropbox where the signed documents are automatically stored in the shared dropbox folder for future legal verifications. Previously we used to manually send the documents for signature in an email and due to this manual process there were many instances where we missed track of signed copies from the parties. ### "Awful Experience"
What do you like best about Docusign?nothing because I found another company that offers the same thing cheaper and simpler and better in every way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?deception and theft (charged me months after I canceled subscription), was not user-friendly, very confusing packages and rules, difficult to figure out, constantly changing the software around, VERY LIMITED SUPPORT (and none when you really need it) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?I used it for e-signatures in bulk, and was told by multiple sales reps when I was first starting out that sending out a bulk envelope for multiple individual signatures counted as only one envelope, but NOPE! Turns out it doesn't. Then when I called again about it (back when phone support was available, which it's not anymore), I was told again that the website was wrong and even though it said I went over my allowed number of envelopes, I actually hadn't. But then I spoke with a different DocuSign rep who said I HAD gone over the limit and that bulk send is the same as indiviudal envelopes. VERY CONFUSING AND FRUSTRATING. But the biggest issue now is that they charged me MONTHS after I canceled my subscription, and support is not available to anyone without a paid plan. I am considering my options of how to take legal action against DocuSign for deception and theft since I can't reach anyone for a refund. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

### "DocuSign, one of the best tools to simplify the signature process."
What do you like best about Docusign?Among all the electronic signature tools I've used, DocuSign stands out as the most user-friendly and accessible for managing signature processes. It has great options to customize default signatures and update them as needed, which simplifies the handling of similar documents that are repetitive. The customer service I've received has been excellent, they are very reliable and fast in their service. ### "Docusign | Ok Software | Terrible company"
What do you like best about Docusign?Honestly, the product itself is okay—it does what it's supposed to, and we haven’t had too many technical issues with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The aggressive upselling is exhausting. Every interaction feels like it’s focused on squeezing more money out of us rather than addressing our actual needs. It’s frustrating to deal with a new sales executive every time, which makes it hard to build any meaningful relationship or continuity. They seem to prioritize revenue from companies rather than offering genuine support or tailored solutions.

We use it for basic e-signature needs, but at this point, we’re reconsidering whether it's worth continuing. ### "Excellent tool, but some features needed"
What do you like best about Docusign?I love the ease of being able to sign a document electronically and send it to other signatories. It is seamless and easy. I like that I can see the progress of the document in terms of which signatory needs to sign it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? This could be a feature that exists but that my organization has not made available to its employees, but I dislike that I cannot add my own template to my Docusign account. In many instances I have needed to send the same document, but adjusted a few fields for date or name, but I have had to create it from scratch each instance. I also dislike that Docusign will not allow me to change my last name, which I legally changed once I got married. I changed it in my account settings, but I could not adjust my actual signature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?I am able to acquire signatures on my expense reports while working in a virtual environment. ### "Unfriendly and slow"
What do you like best about Docusign?I can use electronic signatures instead of needing to coordinate wet-ink ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The platform takes forever to load. It is bogged down by the alerts like "We found PDF Data" and "See your environmental impact!" I send a lot of documents, so seeing these every time is a huge pain to dissmiss them over and over. It is also very buggy and lacks the customization needed. For example, different forms require different date formats. I have no way of customizing the date format of the "Date Signed." The other very user unfriendly thing is Bulk Send. It would be such a time saver if I could just put all of the people in like normal, but instead the feature is unuseable and I end up needing to send all of the envelopes individually. I am now dealing with a glitch and customer support has been horrible and very confusing to navigate. I was supposed to get a call within 3 hours yesterday, but that did not happen. ### "Sizeable Customer (15K+ envelopes) Disappointed by Lack of Service"
What do you like best about Docusign?Relatively easy UI/UX experience. Decent layout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?* DocuSign requires material upcharge simply to prevent double accounts, thereby allowing employees to have two accounts (one personal and one corporate) through their company email address. This creates significant confusion. At times DocuSign event auto-directed signature requests to the personal account and created friction and ample additional workload on our organization.

* Difficult to bulk download signed documents without an upcharge DocuSign tool.

* Misrepresentated that we could have . Orderd 15K envelopes for two years. Only used 5K envelopes in that time. DocuSign made little concessions to us and we were going to lose out on 10K plus envelopes we paid for.

* DocuSign forces a service plan on you for a significant additional charge. Despite the hefty upcharge it's difficult to immediately get a response via email/chat from their service team.

* Much more expensive than other options (e.g. SignNow). Moreover, everyone that gets acquainted with Docusign knows about how secure its work is, and we can trust it with the handling of sensitive documents that are necessary in our field to maintain the necessary level of trust and compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?A disadvantage of Docusign is that it doesn’t come cheap, particularly when one is a small business as highlighted in the following section on cost. The basic subscription is free but the fees can be expensive and if you require special functionality such as branding of the service or application programming interface. Also, from time to time, delay in the document’s processing can be attributed to a glitch in the mobile app. In some cases, these aspects have sometimes influenced our ability to quickly close deals, which decreases the effectiveness of our operations. What do you like best about Docusign?DocuSign stands out for its practical approach. Getting rid of paper saves time and makes it easier to send, sign, and save papers. Furthermore, its user-friendly interface and solid security make it a secure and easily accessible choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?High-volume customers may find DocuSign's price structure unsuitable, and its freemium plan may be quite restrictive. Before you get in, think about your signing requirements and budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?Similarly to a huge language model, I indirectly profit from DocuSign’s electronic records management system which removes inefficiencies. What it does is that it allows for remote signatures thereby enhancing accessibility and eliminates tedious paper processes while ensuring data integrity with secure digital storage. Consequently, such solutions lead to better quality training data sets; improve efficiency in developing more powerful AIs; and give me bigger datasets to learn on. Ultimately, the atmosphere created by DocuSign nurtures my daily incremental learning through indirect means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With its simple to use interface and mobile app, it has greatly simplified for me the drafting, sending and control of documents for validation, even remotely. One of the things that appeals to me most is its diversity of features and versatility. With its robust equipment, it is possible for me to customize and automate the steps of my work with documents, so it fits perfectly with my company's needs. The platform offers a variety of possibilities, ranging from templates and conditional logic to reminders and mass distribution, which ends up making my work easier and faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?Although DocuSign is an interesting and versatile app for signing and managing electronic documents, there are certain shortcomings that must be taken into consideration. One of the most important problems is its cost structure, which can be expensive for small companies or individuals who do not require all the features or integrations that DocuSign offers. With different pricing strategies depending on the number of users, features and envelopes, it may be difficult to find the right deal for you. The least expensive plans, with one user and 5 envelopes, are $10 per month, while the most expensive plans, with unlimited envelopes and advanced features, are $40 per month per user. Also, there are additional fees if you implement enhanced plans or have access to theapi, which can increase the total cost even more. ### "Glitchy software, terrible interface, I was billed without being notified, they refused to refund"
What do you like best about Docusign? That I can send documents to others for signing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The software is far from intuitive. It took me ages to figure out their bizarre system of getting a limited number of "sends", in the process, I accidentally sent and deleted several documents, but big shock those were subtracted from my total count. I was forced to go through support to ask for more "sends", and they made a big exception for me for something that shouldn't have been a thing in the first place. Fast forward a year, I haven't used the software at all except for at the very beginning. I'm billed again without any notification. After cancelling the account, I'm shown a message that says I should get in touch with support for a refund. I assume they will refund me the prorated amount. Wrong. After I email support, they tell me I have to dispute this with my credit card company. I send them the screenshot of the message, but they don't care. This is their company policy. What a load of nonsense, these guys are clowns. Find a different software to do this job, there are plenty of others, and any of them would be a better choice. ### "Left Adobe for Docusign"
What do you like best about Docusign? Our business has been using DocuSign for 5+ years. I was previously an Adobe Sign user, but I really like working with DocuSign. It is very user friendly; initating documents to sign, adding signature/text boxes, making changes or changing the document, and not requiring an account for the signer. DocuSign is mobile friendly for the signers, which has created efficiences. We use DocuSign for obtaining signatures on contracts, MOUs, accounting documents, expense reports, internal memos, letters of support, and HR documents. After COVID shutdown in March 2020, we were able to easily intergrate DocuSign in to our everyday use, thus allowing remote work possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The Docusign Interface is truly awful. They made us pay for training, but then dumped us into their "legacy" system. We could not easily view documents that other users had sent. We had to search through the other user account, search through individual sections of "Waiting for Others" "Completed" etc. You couldn't just search for the recipient name and find what you were looking for. There was no way to see how many envelopes we had left. When we tried to contact support, it was more than 5 business days before we received a response, and we had to follow up to get that. You can't cancel out of your contract or refund unused envelopes on a corporate contract. ### "Increased Efficiency Within Our Team"
What do you like best about Docusign?I've been using Docusign for several years and my team utilizes it nearly daily. We initially looked into Docusign due to Adobe increasing their prices. The customer service is fantastic and really helped ease us through the transition from Adobe. Each user has their own log in and can send documents for signature at the same time. While we don't use many of the features aside from basic signing, it has greatly increased our efficiency as before we were relying on printing and scanning or faxing - this is a much neater and cleaner option! Building the document before it's sent for signature is super easy and you're able to copy others without requiring them to sign. If you make a typo in an email address, you're able to go into the sent document and make a correction as opposed to having to trash the entire thing and start over - a feature that's saved me quite a few times! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? While completely minor, the only negative I can say about Docusign is having to manually share templates with other team members instead of the templates automatically share to everyone. I can see how this feature would be beneficial to other teams if, for example, different departments are using Docusign, but it is a minor inconvenience for my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?Clients are able to sign contracts MUCH faster now that they're able to do it on their phones or tablets instead of printing and scanning/faxing the documents back to us. ### "Docusign is the complete signing package"
What do you like best about Docusign? It is the most recoginized signing service so you can feel safe when you get a link from them. Recently I have discovered power forms which has made sending documents to multiple people so easy. Power forms enables you to send the same link to several people and when they click on it they get thier own document to sign and it routes automically from there. You can enbed this link into your email and send the emai once to all participants, it is coming from you not docusign. It is a functionality I use all the time now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?Pricing can be more than other services, but they do have the most functionality and integrations. ### "A very intuitive e-signature platform"
What do you like best about Docusign? It not only lets us create envelopes with ease with a lot of options so we can get just the right format for the documents that we seek. It also allows the signing party to sign in a very intuitive way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The signing fields that it offers have a "floaty feel" to them and it is hard to align them perfectly to the required spaces on the document. I wish for an option to be able to keep from adding a signee as a contact since it is most likely;y the only time he or she will sign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is Docusign solving and how is that benefiting you?It allows our clients to quickly and effortlessly sign in approval the designs we have developed for them. ### "A good solution"
What do you like best about Docusign?I like the way Docusign is licensed. I can have all the users I want; I'm only limited by envelope count. This is espacially handy when you have a high user turnover. I don't have to worry about the number of accounts I have going, we can just use it as much and as often as we need to with as many users as we need. Setting up SSO was very easy as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign? The only downside I can think of is that DOcusign is so well known that the look of their emails are often cloned for nefarious purposes. Users who use Docusign a lot could be very easily dupped into clicking something they should not just becasue they're so accustomed to seeing the familiar yellow and blue emails. Not sure there's a lot the DS could do about this, but maybe. What do you like best about Docusign?Very user friendly
Many functionalities
The implementation was quite easy and it didn't take very long to launch
The customer support is excellent. Both our account manager and also the general customer service are very fast, resolutive and helpful. We have created a couple of tickets and we got contacted within 24-48h even if we had marked them as not important/urgent.
We use it on a daily basis (HR department) and it makes the agreement process much faster as well as reduce the manual paperwork processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about Docusign?Pricy (still competitive but could be cheaper)
It would be good to also be able to add custom fields to the user accounts and that they would show up also in the reporting section (example: employee number) (at least with the Business Pro account)
Be able to edit documents within Docusign (like integrated word). Also when automating the aut-fill of documents based on certain fields, that after that also manual adaptions could be done to the document within the tool. ### continue to be double billed and refund not recived
I have been going back and forth with customer service for months now. They had me signed up for 2 seats, which I did not need. They apologized, told me they would reduce my seats, and never did. I checked my bank statements a couple of months later, and they had never reduced my seats and had been double-billing me. I opened yet another case, and they told me again they reduced my seats and would be refunding me for 3 months of double-billed service. I checked my bank statements today, and low and behold, they never reduced my seats, and I continued to be double billed. I again have another open case. I am literally at a loss for what to do. I like the program, but I am paying $90 a month. It's not a cheap program; you can only direct call them if you are inquiring about signing up, and that is with their sales department. My house and car just flooded, and we are absolutely strapped for cash right now. Freak weather caused it, and we don't have flood insurance. I just need my money back. I don't know why this is such a challenge.

### Docusign is awful
Docusign is awful. They don't send a signatory a pdf copy to review before signing nor do they send a pdf after signing. Also when all parties have signed they don't send a copy of the fully signed agreement. I can see why they have terrible ratings and would never recommend that anyone use docusign, especially as it is obvious that they do not care about improving their 'service'.

### I keep having to get documents re-sent.
1. I don't want to log in to DocuSign to get support or post an idea, particularly when it defaults to a "free" account for 30 days. So that's why I'm resorting to TrustPilot to complain. What can you say about a company that blocks you from getting help? 2. DocuSign should delete advice telling signatories to look in a separate email to access the document code. The company which sends me docs for signature don't do this, the code is in the same not a separate email. So I click on "didn't recieve code" hoping that it will provide an alternative pathway. Unfortunately DocuSign locks the document so it is useless when I find the password. I don't sign docs often enough to remember this idiotic way of doing things.

I needed to sign two documents for our cruise and I thought I needed to download and pay for DocuSign in order to finish the paperwork. Put my information in, signed to papers, sent them off. I didn't mind paying $15, but I was in a hurry and did not realize it would be a reoccurring monthly charge! so, now I'm out $45, they don't do refunds, and it took forever to figure out how to actually cancel the service that I found out after the fact - I didn't need!

### Terrible customer service, steal your money after cancellation.
I had an account for 12 months. As the end was approaching I decided to use a different provider and stop doubling up on my software. I reduced the seats to only 1, but as this was pending and I was worried it wouldn't update before my renewal date, I cancelled the plan altogether. I did not know that you must cancel prior to 5 business days to the renewal date. I cancelled within this period unknowingly then was charged my annual $800 subscription. Ok I'll cop that, not great customer service in relation to the terms but anyway my error.HOWEVER, today another $800 has come out of my account, and I have no idea why! The original $800 was for a year, so I don't know why another $800 has gone out less than 3 weeks later. Here's the kicker. I cannot contact anyone in relation to this! You have to use online case management which of course I no longer have access to as I cancelled my account. No number, nothing. Quite frankly now I just want my $1,600 back. I have lodged a complaint with my bank to try to recover the funds. DO NOT USE DOCUSIGN.

### Misleading Sales Tactics & Deceptive Promises Led to Unjustified Costs
We adopted DocuSign based on explicit assurances from their staff that our account pricing would be solely based on the number of envelopes used, specifically for users accessing and signing documents via the Microsoft Teams app. We were clearly told that the number of user accounts for signing purposes would not impact the cost. This was a critical factor in our decision to choose DocuSign. However, after just five months, we received notification that our "users" would be converted into billable "seats" at a cost of €250 per user per year. This came as a complete shock, especially considering we have approximately 40 users who primarily use the platform only for signing documents within Microsoft Teams, with some individuals signing as few as 1-2 documents annually. This new policy would have resulted in an exorbitant and unjustified annual cost of €10,000.Upon opening a case to address this discrepancy, DocuSign acknowledged after a month-long investigation that the initial information provided by their sales representative regarding the pricing structure was inaccurate. In essence, we were explicitly misled by a DocuSign employee.Their proposed "solution" was equally unacceptable. We were advised that our employees could create their own free DocuSign accounts for signing. This suggestion was impractical and potentially risky, requiring each employee to sign up for a paid plan, enter their personal credit card details, and then manually downgrade to a limited free plan after 30 days. We cannot and should not place such administrative and financial burdens on our employees, nor risk them being inadvertently charged. Furthermore, it remains unclear whether this free account would even be compatible with signing documents through the Microsoft Teams integration.DocuSign's pricing policy demonstrates a clear lack of flexibility and client-centricity. They do not offer tiered plans that differentiate between user roles (e.g., administrator, sender, signer). Instead, they impose a uniform €250 annual fee per user, regardless of their actual usage or function within the platform. This approach is particularly punitive for organizations like ours with a significant number of occasional signers. These misleading sales practices and the subsequent unreasonable pricing policy immediately soured our experience with DocuSign. After only five months, we made the decision to terminate our cooperation. We cannot recommend this platform due to their lack of transparency and unfair pricing structure.Fortunately, Microsoft's recent release of Sharepoint eSignature within Microsoft 365 offers a viable and integrated alternative, which our organization will be transitioning to.

The product is excellent. However, the company appears to only have staff (people) in sales, as people will only buy from people. Customer service is non existent and most likely ran by AI chatbots or AI personified. ### Unacceptable delays, poor support, and serious business impact – extremely disappointed
My experience with DocuSign has been nothing short of appalling. What should have been a simple account renewal and plan adjustment has dragged on for over a month, and still remains unresolved. I first engaged with their team in February, clearly outlining our updated business needs – one user, approximately 100 envelopes per year – a significant reduction from our previous enterprise plan. I even identified and attempted to purchase a more appropriate plan via their website, only for the payment to continually fail without explanation.Since then, I’ve been passed between multiple teams, made numerous phone calls, and sent over a dozen follow-up emails. I’ve requested managers to call me back, given clear time windows for contact, and yet received vague, copy-paste replies, broken promises of call-backs, and in most cases, no response at all. At one point, support told me they had escalated the issue to billing and would update me – and then simply went silent.Meanwhile, our subscription has lapsed, and my business has been unable to send or sign critical documents required to onboard new staff and activate client services under NDIS. This directly affects our compliance, operational flow, and service delivery timelines. It's not just frustrating – it has a real cost to our business and the people we support. What’s most disappointing is that I approached this situation openly and professionally. I made every effort to communicate clearly and find a fair solution. But instead of resolving the issue, DocuSign left us in limbo. It genuinely feels like once you fall outside their enterprise tier, you no longer matter. If this is the support experience when you’re trying to pay for a service, I dread to imagine what happens when something goes wrong mid-contract. For a company that positions itself as secure, reliable, and trusted by businesses – this has been an absolute letdown.I cannot recommend DocuSign to any organisation that relies on timely, responsive service. We are now actively transitioning to another provider.

### Lesson learned...go elsewhere
If you sign up with DocuSign, pray you never have a support situation. DocuSign does not provide any way to contact them...everything is handled through a ticket process, but unfortunately it's a big failure all around. Look at alternative solutions and save yourself the aggravation. There are plenty of e-signing options nowadays...and I look forward to connecting with all of them to find a better home. Docusign clearly has no intention of providing "Service" to it's customers...once they have your money, it's there's and you are on your own.

I took over and am getting a refund of half of what they took. They said it is because we did not cancel the account in writing. My boss cancelled over the phone and was never advised he needed to cancel in writing. This company stole money from us and now refuses to give us the whole amount they took.

### Horribly run inefficient company - may as well be bloatware
I am having trouble believing this company is not a giant scam. They first charge me a huge fee ($500 CAD) for no reason after downgrading my account after one month of the business plan to the free account, then they make it virtually impossible to contact support. There is no support. There is only a forum where they give me links to how-to videos that I've already watched 10 times with no phone number or email to contact an actual person. In order to open a support case (and maybe at some point contact a human), it asks me to upgrade my account to one that has acccess to support features. What a mess, once I get refunded I will never use this service again. Even when I used the service to batch send documents to people to get signatures, it took me hours to figure out how to do a seemingly simple task. Next time I will use Adobe products for this purpose.

I have been a Docusign client for 10+ years. It used to be great. Now it is very poor, functionalities are being removed, and the $15 per month became a $400 a year without even notice. Less service, no way to contact support to get an invoice that cannot be downloaded. This is how businesses lose everything. Poor service, extreme charge and greed. Fellow realtors, remember that you have access to authentisign for free! I paid for Docusign as I used to get more and wanted to support Docusign. However, after a couple of months, I realized that DocuSign did not provide access to these critical resources.Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the company was unwilling to offer a solution. I wish I never signed up for Docusign. I tried the free trial for 1 contract, and it worked well for me so I decided to pay for their basic plan. I just landed a very big client and sent the contract for them to sign. To my surprise, after sending the contract, a message appeared in my account saying it was suspended. I can't find the reason why, it cannot be a payment issue as it went through without any problems. The message says I should contact support, but when I want to open a ticket it says they don't offer support to basic plan users. What? You don't offer support to paying clients? And why on earth would you suspend a new client's account without reason? I am not sure yet if my client can see this, but if they do it looks extremely unprofessional and I would be very upset. In any case I will NEVER use your service again after this. As soon as I can I will cancel my account.

### Absolute Thieves!!!
Absolutely crooked company! Horrible customer service and practices!!! Thankfully I haven't needed help until I tried to downgrade from 4 to 1 seat ($1200 to $200 for the year) and they simply won't let me! I don't need 4 staff on Docusign RIGHT NOW so for 2025 I have been trying to downgrade to 1 seat. Problem is you can't speak to anyone live or even have any relatively helpful communication besides reaching a sales assoc. and they just refer you to help section. That section instructs you to push buttons that are grayed out on your web page and when you try to reach out via "opening a case" you wait for days between emails, get cryptic and incomplete email responses and the cycle goes on with no resolution. I swear it's on purpose as I want to downgrade. After 6 weeks of this nightmare, countless attempts to charge my credit card and them suspending my account because I won't pay the $1200 for 4 seats I don't need, I also have had no access to send my contract for my company. They suspended my account. Wow! I have no way to pay for one seat so what am I to do? They have now attempted to charge my credit card the $1200.00 over 20 times which has hurt my relationship with Amex. I have started two separate cases asking for a downgrade of my seats and now have asked to simply cancel my account and six weeks later, all I have to show is a call with a call center who has no authority to take my card off file, cancel my account, downgrade my seats or anything useful. More promises of requesting with their "financial department" and escalating to a supervisor who the VA could not get on the line. Plus, they just tried my card again today! Outrageous! Fraud! This company should be shut down!!!

### Any Program But DocuSign
Our company's renewal was coming up and no one from DocuSign contacted us. I had to reach out to them as when you go to billing it looks like your contract will auto renew at the same level you were. Once I got in touch with them, I was told there were some changes, and it fell through the cracks. It took about a week and a half to meet with them about our account. They said the smallest contract they can offer is 500 envelopes, in a 12-month contract. I found out during the meeting that any envelopes that you don't use under contract essentially get thrown away, meaning they get to keep your money even though the value was never realized. I will tell everyone I talk with to avoid DocuSign as there are other options out there and the hoops you have to jump through with this company is ridiculous. They have zero customer service, and the company does not care about the lack of service. It seems like they feel like they don't have to do better because so many people use them. After many hours of research there are better signing programs, and they aren't half the hassle DocuSign is. If you do decide to go with them, keep in mind that if you don't use all of the envelopes you pay for by the end of the contract they disappear, but they will also harass you to buy more if they think you might be close to going over your allotment, under the guise of saving you money. This is a company that went from good to bad once their competitors stepped up.

### Avoid
I have signed documents via docusign multiple times in the past, although as a final user rather than an account holder. I received an apparently legitimate email requesting my signature but, as I wasn't expecting it, rather than click on the link I opened the docusign homepage and copied the unique code into Access Documents. This opened a document that appeared to concern a loan agreement in USD$ but which had nothing whatsoever to do with me. I selected the "Close" button and was met with the response "You're all done, you'll be notified when all parties have signed".I tried to contact someone to report this issue however as I'm sure most users know, this is impossible. There is no support even for unpaid accounts, so end users have no chance whatsoever.Absolutely appalling

Worst customer support experience I've ever received. Simple question "I downgraded my plan from 2 person business plan to 1 person personal plan within the 30 day period. Am I eligible for a refund?" and they will not answer it. Each email is from a different agent, and they don't read any of the previous emails. Absurdly bad.

### Beware of Docusign documents
I had agreed with my neighbour that I would witness his signature on a document. Docusign then sent me a document already signed by my neighbour and asked me to add my signature as having witnessed my neighbour signing it. The implication is that a document which Docusign have had a hand in getting signed and is apparently validly signed may not be. "Witnessing" to me means "witnessing"

### Why I'm Leaving After Six Years as a Customer
I was a customer for six years. Likely not anymore...I upgraded to start paying a massive amount of money annually. They took away key features I had for six years when I had a lower plan. Now, their support team, which is a new person each interaction, won't resolve the issue, and the sales team doesn't reply to emails. Insane! Do not use Docusign. There are lots of other providers.

### Scam – Do Not Use Their Trial Period!
I tried their service, but I never agreed to any contract—not even for a month! Yet, they went ahead and charged me £96 for a full year!I even closed my account before any payment was due, and they still took the money. To make things worse, they don’t even have a proper support email, so there’s no way to contact them. This is completely unacceptable. These dodgy companies think they can just steal from people, and it’s beyond frustrating.I want my money back.

There is no cancelation policy for monthly subscriptions, no possibility of getting a one-time purchase for 1, and only doc you need to sign, dark patterns with a cancellation policy (I'm pretty sure you won't find where to manage your subscription if you wouldn't google and most probably won't cancel your subscription from the first attempt)So, my recommendation if you unfortunate enough to use this product, finish the subscription cancelation at the same day

Unknowledgeable and unprofessional customer service. They told me I never signed up for the realtor version of the free trial after I set the account up, linked it to my association and created transactions. They told me that no such trial exists so I sent them the link I used to sign up on their own website. Then they sent my ticket to someone else who told me to create a new business email address to sign up for another free trial and I told him that was a waste of my own time and money given I intend to keep the account open if it functions well with my other systems. Then they sent my ticket to someone else who told me that I never signed up for the realtor version. It's like chasing a tail with these people.

I have been with this company for several years now. It a yearly subscription and I pay it every year. Lately they have been sending me messages that I was out of envelopes and wanted to charge me like 300.00 for 100 more envelopes. They are also always throwing up the review request right in your way slowing me down more. When I complained about then charging me yearly and extremely high prices for more, they called me just now. I told them the situation that it was not right to charge me again for the service I already pay for and he informed me I have plenty and don't need more. They totally tried to trick me into paying several times more than I already pay for my subscription. DO NOT USE THEM! Scandalous!

We purchased a paid docusign plan in Dec and wanted to launch our product in Dec so that our backend can make calls to their APIs to send envelops to clients for signing. We pushed it to production and it was declined with no explanation. We tried to push it to product review again and it was declined again with no explanation. We had to open a case on Jan 9 asking if they can provide any explanation. We got a response on Jan 14 saying we need a corporate account plan. We replied right away asking them explain what that means as a corporation plan and requested a call back. ON jan 16 they said hteir sales team tried to call us while nobody ever reached out to us. we followed up again on Jan 19 no response. I had to call their support sales team number on Jan 21 to ask for more clarification. The sales person told me our plan is good and has the feature and she will escalate my case and someone will be reaching out to me on the same day. No one did. On Jan 22 i called the sales number again and the sales person was so rude just said there is nothing they can do since the case was escalated. Then i got transferred to another sales team who confirmed to me on the phone again that our current plan has the feature we're looking for. So now I am so confused by our production reviewed has been kept rejected and mixed message. We signed our tenancy through docusign and the agency (owner of the account) was able to apply our signatures on documents in the envelope on a different date then the one we signed the agreement. ### Docusign financially destroyed our business
I wish I could give less than one star. We are a small business and send out about 300 contracts to customers at the beginning of each year. This is a small number but we were very excited to finally convert our paper contracts over to digital format. This was a huge milestone for our company and we were so happy to have made this progress. The devastation of being charged $2000 after the fact unexpectedly was unrecoverable. This is tremendously more than we ever paid for all of the paper contracts we sent out combined over the past 20 years of business. When we called to get more information we were simply hung up on.

### POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES
On December 21, 2024, I received an email from DocuSign stating that I reached my subscription limit. I've been a long-term subscriber to DocuSign. Fearing that my annual subscription may be disrupted, I checked my subscription status on DocuSign's website and it did not reflect that my annual subscription (due December 11, 2024 - 10 days earlier), had been renewed or that my subscription was paid and current. Rather, DocuSign's own website said: "Next Renewal: December 11, 2024" -- 10 days earlier. DocuSign's site did not reflect that my subscription was current and I never received notification from DocuSign or a receipt from DocuSign showing that the automatic renewal payment, scheduled for December 11, 2024, had occurred. So, on December 21, 2024, I renewed my plan online. It was not until after I made the duplicate and erroneous annual renewal payment that I looked at DocuSign's site later that day and realized that I was charged twice for the same subscription renewal. I contacted my credit card company and was informed that, yes, another annual renewal payment had already been processed by DocuSign on December 11, 2024. However, DocuSign never reflected this on its website and DocuSign never sent a notification or a receipt on December 11, 2024 that the subscription had successfully renewed. To the contrary, DocuSign sent me an email on December 21, 2024 stating that I had reached the limit of my subscription -- suggesting that my annual subscription had expired. I was unaware of DocuSign's activity with my credit card in connection with the processing of the renewal on December 11, 2024 because DocuSign, as I've now learned, does not send notifications of pending renewals; or receipts for successful renewals; nor do they accurately provide confirmation on their website that the renewal occurred; or that the subscriber's account was paid and current. DocuSign doesn't send receipts after using your credit card; instead, as DocuSign has now informed me, the subscriber must look to his or her own credit card statement or credit card company for verification of the DocuSign subscription payment -- requiring the subscriber to be in a constant state of vigilance looking for something you don't know when, or if, will ever occur. Imagine doing this for every subscription service with each company that you do business with; whereby the vendor shifts the responsibility for obtaining and verifying proof of payment to the customer for an act initiated by the vendor. This would be a full-time job. I remember when ALL vendors provided receipts to their customers after payment. In a multitude of DocuSign excuses and attempts to dodge responsibility for doing what's right, they just kept making the blanket statement that they don't issue refunds. Simple. They just tell everyone to go away. After learning of the duplicate and erroneous payment on December 21, 2024, I immediately opened a case by contacting customer support at DocuSign and asked for a refund of the clearly duplicate and erroneous payment. Initially, I received a response Silvia at DocuSign customer support which said I merely had to change the number of seats from two (2) to one (1) and a refund for the duplicate and erroneous payment would be issued. This was false. This procedure is for prospective renewals for the upcoming year. After this failed, I opened another case with DocuSign customer support but I was rebuffed by DocuSign customer service when they stated: "We don't issue refunds." From my experience and in my view, DocuSign's Customer Service is a fiction. DocuSign responded with a litany of patently false statements and blatant misrepresentations about the facts of my case and stubbornly refused to issue a refund for an obvious overpayment. Despite being a long term customer, I will never do business with DocuSign again because, in my opinion, they lack moral integrity and the basic elements and principles of fair business practices.

Unbelievably useless and awful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Our office manager signed us up. She used my partner's credit card and signed us up on repeat without authority. We only realised when the payment came off our credit card. We have not used the software, but Docusign won't refund us. They won't allow us to change the login details to communicate about this because our old office manager - who has now left the company - is the only one authorised as admin on the account. Her login email has been switched off so the account is essentially locked. I have wasted countless hours trying to resolve this with Docusign. Adobe do the same thing .... and more. They are way way better. Avoid Docusign at all costs. It's incredible how they don't need approvals and strict hoops to take our money - but they do when it comes to cancelling!!!

Docusign deceptively sold my business an "annual subscription" but did not inform me that the number of envelopes were limited. 6 months into the annual subscription, I ran out of envelopes and requested a partial refund that they denied. At that point I requested the account be closed. Now at the year from purchasing, they charged me for an annual subscription AGAIN, and denied the request for a refund despite me requesting a refund on the same day they charged me. This company makes it's money by SCAMMING people, and has no interest in serving customer needs. There is no reason you should not be able to speak to customer service via phone, and the email responders are terrible help.

### Completely dissatisfied with DocuSign
I had a frustrating experience with DocuSign. While upgrading our subscription for bulk sending and adding SMS delivery worked initially, downgrading back to the basic plan was a nightmare. Despite canceling on time, we were overcharged for months, and customer support was unresponsive and unhelpful. Removing add-ons like SMS required opening a support case (instead of an easy online option), and even then, charges persisted. After months of follow-ups, a refund was issued but for an incorrect amount, with no explanation provided. The overall process is unnecessarily complicated, and the customer service is far below average. I recommend alternatives like Adobe Acrobat for simpler and more affordable document signing needs. Very disappointed.

### The API is wonderful.
BODY: Overall, the experience has been great. The end user also has access to the documents, which is very powerful.
PROS: The DocuSign API is powerful for integrating with other tools and services. We use it in collaboration with the Zoho desk.
CONS: Cost of DocuSign is very high compared to other offerings.
